In
response to architects' and planners' requirements for slimmer
sight lines along with high static performances and better
system security, RP Technik has developed the RP-ISO hermetic
45 mullion / transom facade made of steel profiles.
The
system's key features include:
An
elegant sightline of only 45 mm wide double-sided pre-galvanised
steel profiles which are available in depths from 45 to
135 mm.
A
wall thickness of 2.5 mm ensuring excellent stability,
allowing large spans and large panes weighing up to 400
kg to be used without any additional support.
A
frame U-value of less than 2 W/m²K which complies
with Part L of the Building Regulations.
An
efficient ventilation and drainage system through mullions.
Reached
over 1,100 Pascal during testing for driving rain and
joint permeability.
Fire-resistance
of 30/0 and 30/30 for vertical curtain walling and roof
glazing. The RP-ISO-hermetic 45 system was successfully
fire-tested for integrity and insulation up to 30 minutes
(EI30/E30). The test was carried out for the applications
facade, flat roof and pitched roof. This has been achieved
by keeping exactly the same components as the standard
facade except for the transom holders.
Benefits
to the Customer include:
Very
slim sight line of only 45 mm.
Greatly
reduced profile depths compared to aluminium.
Larger
area of glass / less visible frame
Frame
has an E-modulus treble that of aluminium.
Easy
& unique "100% mechanical" assembly, ensuring
the system is both aesthetic and economical.
No
need for welding.
Painted
immediately after processing, requiring no further treatment
